Hello, I am 16 months old and my mummy is writing for me. I have just had open heart surgery at Great Ormond Street Hospital and have come home to get better. I have really enjoyed looking at the Brambly Hedge stories which mummy has read to me. I especially like the Summer story as my mum and dad are getting married too! xx

I hve just discovered the world of Brambly Hedge at age 69 and love the characters. By accident, I discovered the Pattern Book in my library in New Westminster, B.C. and made all the adorable characters in a week! I then went to the library and took out the three books available. The stories are sweet and the illustrations exceptional - just like the old children books that I remember when I was small. Thank you for creating these treasures. I am now trying to find and purchase all the B.H.books

I used to have your books when I was younger. I particularly loved the ice dance when the place was sculpted. Forgive me, but I don't think I have read the stories since I was little.

I love your stories I have always loved them. They are so wonderfully written, that they make me feel as if I am there joining in with the birthday picnic. When I was in year 1 of the infants I broke my arm. My mother took me to casualty and I waited for 3 hours, to pass the time we brought along a collection of brambly hedge stories. We read them so many times I can still remember the stories. I will always cherish brambly hedge stories!

I joined a book club back in 1980/81 and my first purchase as a 9 year old were the set of Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter books. First books I had ever bought on my own. These took me to a place magical and I still have them to this day. I am now 34 years old and a graphic designer/illustrator and I'd like to think in some small way, Jill has insired me. PS. I married a Jill!!

I think the stories of Brambly Hedge are some of the most beautifully written and illustrated tales I have ever read. Even though my children are now teenagers I still like to glance through them and can't resist watching when they come on t.v. If only life were as beautiful and simple as it is in Brambly Hedge. The winter story is an absolutely wonderful little gem.
